Arm Care

Why should overhead athletes implement an arm care routine? Shoulder and elbow problems can develop slowly over time in athletes who are involved in overhead sports and eventually lead to more serious injury and even surgery if not managed properly. Common injuries related to athletes who experience this include bicep, rotator cuff, and UCL strains and tears which can leave an athlete off the field for well over a year. However, with a well constructed arm care program, these problems can be reduced greatly and eliminated altogether and prevent future injuries while prolonging the career of the athlete over time.

Our arm care program focuses on not only maintaining and increasing arm strength by the use of carefully selected exercises that strengthen the rotator cuff and scapular muscles that are most used by overhead athletes, but to also increase range of motion and mobility in these joints and muscles that helps to maintain a healthy strong arm and reduce the risk of injury.
